I'm usually the opposite.I like mono for my light river fishing as its cheaper to replace as i get snagged and frayed on blackberries all the time, I also use mono off jetties.I like to use Braid when boat fishing though, gives much better feel, it's direct so you get a good strike in depth.

I love jetty fishing at night, sharks or rays and love going out on my old mans boat BUT the fishing that makes me giddy is Trout fishing.
