For Land based anglers.Last night (Thurs) it was reported on CH 7 that yellow fin whiting and blue swimmer crabs were caught of the Sema4 jetty.Obviously their research leaves something to be desired.Sema4 jetty is closed and will be for some time to come.So don't waste your time and fuel coming to Sema4.

Mate no problems, like everything else If Only the powers to be handed out some realistic fines and sentences instead of getting sucked in by defence lawyers, people would have a lot more respect. But as is crims have more rights than the victims.Sorry for the rant but people who constantly break the rules really give me the sh*ts. (Apologies if anyone is offended by what i've said, this topic gets me worked up)

Had a further thought about this and can't say I blame TonyB for getting rid of the cockles, I don't necessarily agree but probably would have done the same thing. When dealing with a bombastic and self opinionated treatning copper he could have checked the cockles and decided there were a couple under zize one's ( even if perfectly legal) and thrown the book at him.If it went to court and Tony had numbered and photographed each cockle they still would have found an excuse and the magistate or like clown would have been onside with the copper and Tony would have lost the case. At least this way no grief, wallet intact and considering cockles at $ 15 ? a kilo would have been cheap.

Nice pics mate especially the bridge

I'll go along with nev. However just a thought, why not soak them when brand new before any usage !!That way the oil should get in there well and truly providing more protection and a slick as nev said.

I try cooking oil first, tuna oil smell is a bit difficult to get rid of the hands

Not doubting you mate but that looks more like discoloration than rust.heres another plastic coated wire with rust ! used it two times end of last summer.would you use it over and over again??

Hmmm, must be a very poor quality of stainless steel, Stainless steel should not rust, hence the name stainless, in my experience I only ever seen rust on stainless after it has been welded actually more a brown discoloration than rust, not a great problem, just does not look pretty.and the stainless steel still rusts.
