  2. AFFAfter just mentioning Annan River, just decided to check it out on the interweb thingy and found this:http://www.fishingcooktown.com/site/river-annan/Cheersarcherfish
  3. AFFIf you're after a good paper map, RACQ (Queensland equivalent of RAA) put out a good one of the Far North Queensland Region (should be available at the RAA shops here). If you're looking at staying up Port Douglas way, for something different and a tad exotic, you might like to try chasing Jungle Perch in the (upper) freshwater areas of the Daintree River in the rainforest. http://www.daintreevillage.asn.au/fish.htmlIf you're in a position to head a little further north, the Annan River south of Cooktown used to offer some good estuarine fishing a while back (Barra, GTs, Mangrove Jacks, etc.
  4. AFF - are you looking at saltwater or fresh? Lots of freshwater options up that way! Cheersarcherfish
  5. Have seen some references on the 'net regarding using green peas as bait for mullet and can understand the theory behind it. Has anybody had any experiences (positive/negative) locally (i.e. Adelaide metro area) with such a bait?CheersArcherfish
  6. AFF - Check out this link:http://www.arounddarwin.com.au/darwin_fishing_charters.htmlCan recommend Mark West's Hooked on Fishing Safaris - not cheap, but if this guy can't get you onto fish, you may as well give up. Can't vouch for what he's currently doing, but previously he used to be able to do the usual barra stuff, but also can put you on to a lot of reef species, local pelagics and black mulloway, etc...Need to book early though, as he has a lot of repeat business from Oz and International clients.
