    I'm worried about the weight of the 8144. I think it would be a pain to carry over the rocks but I could be wrong as I never handled an 8144.

    Thanks Kelvin,I was planning to pay Ray and Anne a visit. I actually have my heart set on the sensor surf but would it be able to cast enough distance with the slammer LL 760. I will be using half or whole frozen pilly and, if available, live small fish such as a shitty.

    I got a Penn 760 Liveliner reel (bought it online while browsing the net after a night out ). I'm looking for a surf rod to match it.I need a 2pc preferably a light heavy action rod to try to catch a mulloway or any other big fish from the rocks or the beaches in Adelaide.From my research, the 13' 2 pc Daiwa Surf Sensor rod sound light and though (it's just over $300). But would this rod suit my reel (balance wise)? I know the Saltiga 6000 will be best, but I want to use the reel I have rather than buying another one (at least for the time being).The local tackle store owner recommended the 1
