  1. Well done on the fish mate, I know when I get into them i normally end up doing my little snapper dance !! :side: :silly: Funny you mention though about getting them on the suface. I remember a session at Pt hughes years ago where we were only in about 12ft and the water was boiking with fish. We were sending out unweighted half pillies and they were getting slammed !Great fun.Shame the pictures not working though ??

  2. i used them last week after saoking them in gulp liquid in the tub. Seem to works just fine and the extra cent can't go a miss. Have left them in there and they seem to keep obsorbing. I was told 20 mintues but need a lot longer. They are pretty durable as well.

  3. Nice fish Fushlups. Your beating my record !! Yet an over 60cm snapper but ti won't last long !! infact the 6th of feb to be precise !! :cheer: thinking I might even persist with the Sp's while the others use bait, I know I won't be the first to cathc one on the charter but hopefully can go the biggest :woohoo:

  4. If I can catch Callop on lure anyone can :silly:  I was on Goolwa beach cockling last week and found a dead eagle ray and the head of a bronzie high up the beach. Amazed why they wouldn't put the eagleray back if they didn't want to keep it.:angry:

  5. Great report and fantastic picture JW.Sensational part of the world Avoca, spent a bit of time up that way surfing when I was younger.Aren't the lagoons to Terrigal/Avoca sensational ! Great fishing all year round with plenty of options. Really is a parradise and you can see why so many people retreat there.Great work on the fly again... take you back to NZ ??

  7. when it happens it happens ;) the trick is to be ready at all times for the place to go off. Have seen it with many species at many places and can quickly catch people out. It's human nature to ruch things when the adrenalin is pumping. You think everything has to be done lightning fast when the best thing to do is take a deap breath and be pricise. Only takes another split second.Sounds like you had a ball anyway LF. Welcome to the sight and great fisrt post. B) Hopefully more to come. Dont' forget the pics next time though... everyone loves pics !!

  9. Good on you Rangfish. Spot on at every point. Can you imagine how expensive fruit and veg would be if we all became vegans ??And then someone would come along and say we can't grow our own because it's cruel for some random reason... always someone trying to cause problems for others...

  10. Narrow minded people VB !!Short term gain with no longe term thoughts. It's these same people that will be sitting there in 20, 30, 40 years complaining about how the stocks have been raped by the pros etc..etc.. etc...If we could all just follow the rules, I mean if they really wanted to fill the freezer, yeah sure a bit more in petrol money, but hey there some satisfaction there knowing you have gone about it the right way and still scored well. Just like bagging out... hhhmmm.....

  11. Geez mate, you look about 10 there !! Not even going to mention the guernsey....Nah, nice fish man.
