Snappy Tom

Unfortunately there were very few squid, i only saw 3 which others caught over 16 hours, someone caught a 50cm+ kingy, i got about 20 mullet, about 4 tommies, a trevalley at 23cm so he went back, and my friend got 2 just legal gar (and a similar no. of the rest).There was schools of gar hanging around for berley but all small, until a snook scared them all away.The old jetty is off limits unless you want some razorwire cuts

Right, i'll re phrase this.If i go to Rapid bay for an overnight fishing trip this weekend, what could i expect to catch?Now sone useful input please you cheeky buggas

Thanks fellas,You are right Brenton, it is a very tidal island, the shoreline would move 100+ meters in some places.Might have to find me a longer rod...

Hi all, this is my first post here, i've had a look around and it seems like a pretty good forum.Anyway, I'm going to stay on Troubridge island early in march and was wondering what i might be able to catch from shore.Being a tidal island would it be best to fish at low tide so i can get closer to deeper water?Cheers Tombo
