Hi all just seen this post now and the mangroves next to south rd bridge have also been cut down and was wondering y aswell even the small newer ones have been pulled out a real shame cause although they were small I used to get some cracking fish at hight tide off them shame real shameMatty89

  2. hi all just wondered if any one could help me out i have not used my advantage for a while and decided to spool her up with some new line but when i fillied it up there is oni 3 mm of line at the bottom of spool and about 20mm at the top anyone know how i can get it so it sits evenly up the whole spool ?on my shimano reels i have those little black discs that you can add and take off but have nothing with the daiwaany help would be greatcheers matty89

  3. Hi JohnWent down the river on the long weekend to try the carp on fly only got 2 about the same size as urs bit like u said real hard fishing just a quick question but dose any one no how long the spawning cycle lasts so they come back on the chew ?Cheers matty

  4. thanks everyone went in the the tackle shop the other day and cancled out the loop clwso now stuck with another reel to choose between the shimano bio craft look awsum for the price but the guy showed me another reel called a ross flyrise dont know if any of u lot have seen them but they look ok and a bit cheeper than the bio craft. then he told me to look on the net at a ross airius they a little bit more money than the the bio craft but look awsum on the screenany body have any oppionions on these 2 reels? anybody use ross reels? cheers matty89

  5. Hi everyone I'm after getting a new fly reel and would like ur comments on which would be best. I will be fishing both salt and fresh fishing with it 6# and 7# I would like to use the one reel for all my fly fishin if possible and just buy spare spools for it I'd like to spend between $100 to $200 on a reel so if u have other preferences of a reel that would be gd Cheers Matty89

  6. hi guys sorry been so long in getting bk just not had time to be on here thanks for the info guys but because its of the late nyts now and i live on the cliff at masilins just wondered if the reef fish were worth a shot i catch zebra fish, drummer, wrasse, parrot fish, sweep and so on one after another on bait just wondered if they would take a small fly i been hittin the onk a fair bit got my pb bream on fly about 3 months ago its was a 39 cm and put up a real tussel on the 6wt cheers matty89

  7. hi all not much going on in the fly section of late but just wanted to get a few ideas i live south of the city and just in the mood to fly fish recently just wondering if its worth having a cast on the reefs like aldinga, red orker point (at moana), seaford and hallet cove just to name a few for species like zebra fish, drummer, wrasse and all other reef species that are there all the time.is it possible to catch these fish if so any fly suggestions, patterns ?ive got a 5-6 weight and a 6-7 weight both floating lines are these any gd or do i need sinking line ?im not the best fly caster in the world and practising can oni make me better just lookin for some fish that are easy to target and can catch all the time. any suggestions would be awsum cheers matty89

  8. hi wes80looks like a cracker and should work just fine ive made around 20 now just waiting on the paint to toataly dry then will post a pic i ve got 5 made intended for snapper around the same size going up 2 110 mm i did make one at 150 mm but its too heay for mi gear lol well done agen.cheers matty89

  9. hey everyone sorry not been on sooneryeh the blades work well ;) hey ben m not got a name yet still playing around wi themand as for mully blades wes80 i catch alot of snapper on blades but when im loosing $40 - $50 dollars a trip throught i might make some ive made different sizes from 25 mm to 150 mm and disturbed1 thats not a bad idea just got to get them fine tuned lol cheers matty89 :)
