at only 25odd lbs must be skinny

One of my plans is to burley them up around rocks or a breakwater, before casting bread flies at them. Will surely be a hoot on a fly rod!
-
great vid. Looks like it was on for young and old! Be great fun on the fly.

go freshwater fishing

locally to me I've found breakwaters have them in huge numbers at night. Last year they were everywhere at sulliesMay be worth a crack at your local?
-
great tidesmixture of tuna oil, bread, curry powder and pellets should get tommies around from everywherenot particularly familiar with that area, but I'd suggest with burley you could get them at any jetty?

Was about to say - he's a very well mannered man!hahaha i like how u didnt go off ya nutter... i would of put a few swear words in there followed by few more but....

had a few to fillet last weekendThese were only 3-4cm over legal, so not heaps meat on them.I don't mind eating them at all. Not sure if I'd see the point of filleting it unless it was a real monster.Head off, guts out, fry a few mins each side with oil, butter, white wine, S+P is what I did when I got home, came up pretty nice.

Tried glenelg a week or 2 back for zilch. Mate got 50 off Grange the night before tho, so they def are around

virgin is a winner I reckonLive in a valley - couldn't send SMS with 3. No issues now, with a speccy new iphone for a pretty decent price too

Interesting you meantioned garfish there Jimbo, I've seen them plenty of times but never had the gear to target them. Would think a burley bucket on the surface with the tide going would get them around from everywhere in summer. Ever found tommies there?
-
well done fellas, not many can claim to have caught themNoticed you kept a few - how did they turn out on the table?

say the same about Fireline.... used it before, never again. When knotted up, the strands its made up of come apart, at least they do when the stuff ages. Never buying that shit again, especially when powerpro is as cheap as it is from the US&A
-
plenty of good ones out there. There was a thread made a while back, detailing exactly what to look out for when buying braid. For me Nitlon is great. Powerpro off of Ebay is great stuff and a hell of a lot cheaper than buying locally.

Awesome system IMO - rates of people doing the wrong thing would surely be lower in such an environment as well. Use of specific licenses such as this are great - as Ranger hinted at. Want to fish for trout in streams? Pay a trout license, etc etc.

Interestingly enough, it was thought that Brownhill creek could be a suitable site for a metro reservoir back in the day.Thorndon Pk Reservoir was the first one to hold Adelaides' drinking water before more were built.

anyone ever done any good in the Onk for bloodworms?

Those maria lures look nice but too dear for salmon metals imo' date=' you can get raiders at Big W for half the price and I imagine they'll do the job just as well.[/quote']This.
