Elliston

Big squid were landed off the jetty and tommies were on after dark. Mullet, salmon and a few whiting were caught from Salmon Point

Sheringa

The First beach had mullet, whiting, salmon trout and the odd flathead. Salmon from the beaches ranged in size from 1 to 3kg.

Almonta / Gunyah Beach

Salmon averaging 1 to 2kg were in reasonable numbers with the odd 3 to 4kg fish as well.

Farm Beach

Boaties fishing the area are returning good results on King George Whiting and Squid. Further offshore there has been nannygai and a few snapper.

Coffin Bay

The jetty and rock ledges have had better than average whiting, tommies, mullet, snook and salmon trout. Rumours of some snapper have been heard.

Port Lincoln

Squid are going well from local jettys and bays, especially in the afternoon or into evening sessions.

King George Whiting continue to be hit and miss with many mixed reports. Most anglers catching fish had caught them on the incoming tide and fishing into the evening.

Yellowfin Whiting are being caught in reasonable numbers along the foreshore when the tides are good. Worms or small prawns are the best bait to catch them, however if you wanted to try something different; use a soft plastic worm or shrimp.

The main wharf still has good catches of Tommies, and Salmon trout throughout the day and night.

Australian Salmon had been caught throughout the week, with some land based anglers finding good schools of fish in local bays. Small metal slugs returned the best results. Salmon were also found along the Sleaford to Wanna coastline when the winds were favourable.

Tumby Bay

Second creek had salmon around 1kg and squid out from the entrance. Squid and winter whiting were found inshore as well as out at the Group.

Port Neill

Whiting were ok on northern drops and some rugger snapper came from the inshore reefs. Salmon trout, mullet and yellowfin whiting were off the beaches. Tommies and squid came from the jetty/breakwater and Snook were caught on lures after dark

Arno Bay

Inshore and the squid and whiting bit well. Out wide snapper to 8kg were in small numbers with ruggers much more prevalent.
