Now for what was biting and where

Some big Australian Salmon are being caught along Mount Camel beach, with some fish up around the five kilogram mark.

First Beach at Sheringa has seen anglers returning good results on Tommies, King George Whiting, Silver Trevally, and Yelloweye Mullet.

The Salmon beach has had a school of Australian Salmon hanging around the area for some time, with some decent fish around 4 kilograms being caught in amongst smaller 2 kilogram fish.

Almonta / Gunyah Beach
Australian Salmon have quietened down this past week, with anglers finding it very difficult to find consistent fish. Some trout sized Salmon were reported being caught on metal lures.

Coffin Bay / Farm Beach
King George Whiting are being reported caught by boaties fishing the Farm Beach area, with most reports coming from anglers fishing deeper water.

Nannygai and the odd Snapper were reported being caught around the Sir Isaacs area by boaties.

Port Lincoln
The Proper Bay is having some reports returned for both boaties and land based fisho’s. Garfish were a popular species, along with King George Whiting, which were both caught in reasonable numbers. A few Blue Swimmer Crabs had also been reported this past week from within the area.

Boston Bay has been reasonable for boaties if chasing King George Whiting, Squid, Garfish, and Snook.

Tumby Bay
The Group has had minimal reports this past week, with some boaties finding it very difficult to get a decent feed of King George Whiting. Some reports did come through of anglers trying a little closer to the mainland, however did not disclose the location of where they were fishing. Those that did get a few whiting reported that they were of very good size and condition.

The Tumby jetty is having good reports of Squid being caught at all times of the day and night.

Port Neill
Popular species being caught around the jetty and breakwater area include; Tommies, and Squid. Boaties are reporting some good catches of King George Whiting and some Snook.

Arno Bay
Boaties are reporting both King George Whiting and Snapper can be hit and miss. Some anglers did well chasing these species, however did indicate that they did have to move locations multiple times and use burley to find decent patches of fish. Squid are being reported in good number by both boaties and land based anglers.

Cowell
Some Blue Swimmer Crabs are returning into both Cowell and Lucky Bay areas. Some anglers reported decent sized blueys, full of meat, however others mentioned that a lot were undersize and appeared skinny.
