statesquider 0
I'm pretty sure I want to buy a knob for the handle on my saltiga surf as i'm not really a fan of the handle tha comes stock. After using my dogfight several times i have become a BIG fan of the handle and reckon i want to convert the other reel.Has anyone else ever done this before? I'm not quite sure what's involved to remove the knob and replace it... Can i just do it at home? And come to think of it would it affect waranty?Haha please save the jokes about how i want a knob :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Mick013 2
real easy mate. i changed the knobs on my saltiga game and certate - everything comes in the box to do it. Dont know about the warranty but im sure it wouldnt void that. Jig Master knobs look and feel wicked, as well as the standard saltiga upgrade knobs. statesquider

urhookedfish 12
I replaced the handle on my Certate 4000 Hyper to the RCS power knob so dont see why you couldnt easily do the surf.Heres a knob that would be awesome. Not a hundred percent sure its compatable but I reckon it looks shit hot!http://www.rayannes.com.au/daiwa-shimano-reels-australia/rods-reels/daiwa/daiwa-custom-reel-parts/knobs-handles-etc/daiwa-expidition-ball-knob/
statesquider 0
I was going to get that one initailly but they have one that is a different brand (could well be jigging master) that is only $80. From memory that one is $120... Could be wrong
urhookedfish 12
Yeah I was going to get a Jigging master one for my certate, but I discovered that the Jigmaster one is not solid. In fact dont quote me on this but I think its just plastic, or it certainly felt like plastic.I think you may end up spending the extra hard earned loot.
statesquider 0
ah.... will have a feel in the shop. Definitely not what i though it was, cutting corners where i can $120 is a lot to drop on a knob!
Mick013 2
Jig Master knobs are not plastic, i should know i have 2. one on my certate 2500r ( its wicked) and second on my saltiga game. The only benefit of jig master is greater choice in colour, which helps it to match the reel.http://www.rayannes.com.au/daiwa-shimano-reels-australia/reel-upgrades/jigging-master-power-knobs-new-stock-here-now/See how good this one looks - awesome colours to choose from
