Guest
Has anyone had to source parts or request warranty from the overseas seller with which they purchased their reel(s) from?If so is it a fairly simple process?Just wondering because i recently had a warranty issue with a new reel i purchased locally. There was no problem and its fixed now.The reel was an expensive high end reel (saltiga) that i assumed i'd not have any issues with for years and its now made me wonder how i'd go getting it fixed if i purchased it from overseas.I've been reluctant to purchase reels from overseas for this reason. Fishie 98
I'm not sure on reels but I buy my Mercury Outboard Parts in from overseas... an OEM MAP Sensor from Hong Kong is $20 and locally from the outboard dealer is $127 and that's a big difference in price

Guest
Hi KatYes i read that and it seems if you buy overseas you repair overseas too which is why i'm wondering if anyone has gone down that path and how easy or hard was it.Even high end reels like saltigas and stellas breakdown from time to time.
