Saltiga5 3
I will be needing a rod to match a Saltiga Z4500.Trying to toss up between the 8-15kg Texaliium and the 10-15kg Nitro Godzilla. Will be using it mostly for livebaiting in the Port for Mulloway from a boat. Saltiga5 3
Thanks _matt_ but a rod like that is not suited to live baiting, more for jigging.
urhookedfish 12
Thanks _matt_ but a rod like that is not suited to live baiting' date=' more for jigging.[/quote']See that raises an awesome question what taper rod is ideally suited to live baiting.Im using my Saltiga Hirimassa 63s to live bait snapper with whole big Mackies. Im yet to really see if its any good but Im thinking it should be fine.I kind of agree with _Matt_ in that the Catalina or a 63S should do the job more than adequately. Saltiga5 3
For live baiting I prefer a nice sensitive tip to keep tabs on the livie. urhookedfish
Guest
I think the Nitro Godzilla would be an excellent livebait rod. Its got sensitive tip with low down grunt.I haven't got a nitro yet but i rate them highly.
Saltiga5 3
The advantage of the Nitro if the lifetime warranty, snap the rod tip and get it replaced for $60.
