Benwah 92
Hi ya all,First post for me. Been reading the forums and searching the web but can't find the answersso I thought I better ask the experts.I've got an older Silstar Power Tip model # PT601SWH with no line class written on it other than action MH with 8 guides. So I was wondering what would be a suitable line class ?Would this be for an overhead or spinning reel or both ?Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Boyington214 0
Hey Benwah55,I've got a couple of the Powertip rods. 601 SWH would possibly be 6ft, Spin, Heavy action. The MH is probably Medium / Heavy. In lieu of anything specifically referring to use with overhead reels, the guide spacing would determine if it was overhead capable or not. According to Campells Pro Tackle website, your rod is most likely rated at 10-15kg line class.
