statesquider 0
I'm very confused....I've been looking at the SHIMANO TCurve Revolution Inshore Baitcast 5101 (Product Code: REVI510BC) and I am very unsure as to whether it is a one or two piece rod....The latest (not to mention previous years) catalogue state that this rod is a 2 piece rod but everywhere i've looked on the net is says it is a one piece rod (various forums etc.). Also what i found interesting was that SHIMANO label the end of their rod product codes with either 1,2,3 or 4 depending on how many pieces the rod breaks down to. So going by that theory the rod must be a one piece....Can anyone confirm or deny this?Just thought i'd add... it also states on their website that it is a 2 piece rodShimano can't have got this wrong TWICE in their catalogue could they?Cheers to anyone who can help me out
Rickster 0
The "Revolution" Inshore series aims to deliver a variety of high quality, light to medium Estuary, fresh and saltwater solutions for anglers in a mixture of 1 piece or convenient 2 piece configuration.I also think that the join is at the top of the butt on the 2 pieceLooks to be available in both configurations. Moggy23 625
I see what you mean, on the same page there is a TCurve Revolution inshore Snapper 702 which is a 1 piece in the catalogue, like you say the 2 on the end of the no. is how many pieces it is, I think it's a typo. The 702 is a 2 piece and in your case 5101 is a 1 piece. Also, don't like the blue highlight on the writing, can't read it very well. Mrballs should be able to answer that one.
breambo25 1
I guess if wanted to you could always just go to a tackle shop and see for yourself whether they are 1 or 2 piece. Are you buying it on the net?
statesquider 0
I was going to order it in a shop later in the week but I thought i'd give it a go on here first. I don't think i'll have the time to head into a shop so i may buy it before looking at it.I reckon moggy is on the right track. If they're catalogue is anything like their website I shouldn't be surprised

mrballs 12
The code 5101 refers to the rod being 5'10" long (510) and the (1) refers to it being 1 piece. Rickster and Moggy23
statesquider 0
Thats what i thought but the 2011 and 2012 catalogues state it is a two piece, hence the confusion. Hence the need for clarification.
