Splash69 0
Hi,This is a minor modification I have made to my wooden pencil float.I drill a hole from the end til it reaches the existing diagonal hole that is in the float when purchased. (both ends)I begin to tie the float by threading the line in the new hole on the end then tie it as per normal, but when you are finished with both ends thread it back out through the new drilled hole.I am finding this to almost eliminate the float tangling around the line as it is about the hit the water.I am aware that you generally stop the float during your cast to stop the tangle but in windy conditions or for young and new float fishers I have found this to be quite useful.I have just read this and hope it is clear (probably as clear as mud) ::)Dave

Splash69 0
Yea, thats a good idea although it wont prevent the line tangling around the float.I am sure I will use your idea as it is so quick.Dave
