Mickyj 3,205
Now I am a fly guy as everyone knows .But watching Fishntrip on fox they always have Soft plastics on and catching bream snapper(a very large one in whyalla on this show) etc.But what got me to stand up and take notice was them catching whiting using soft plastics .Two different types of worms cut down were doing the trick. And just a slight finger tapping on cork rod butt was doing the trick on whiting and red mullet.Just thought I would pass that along in case they replay it again. Leethal 1
I have caught a few kg whiting on plastics in west lakes on gulp worms before, and even caught them in the port on chubbys. Not as uncommon as you might think mickyj just no one really targets them to often with lures.
coight 0
Yeah its true! we went tho Pt. augusta chasing the big chaps whilst trying to catch liveys, we got onto a school that would have numbered into the thousands. We got em on Gulp new penny shad, we stopped at about 17 or so so we had enough time for the kings, every cast we'd hook 3 or so and only land one.At least we had something to bring home... :
