Yeah Im with Highfly, I have caught a fair few on plastics and metal vibes the last few years since owning a boat. I remember a year or two ago in one of the SABT events there were quite a few legal snapper caught -

It would be nice to see who is exhibiting there to see if it is worth while for myself. Last couple I have been too there was very little that I was interested in.

One thing to keep in mind if you do change from trebles to singles that it might change the buoyancy of the lure.

I agree with matt, as I have found alot of fish in a area that was flowing very fast but there was baitfish and food being pumped down with the flow also. Especially when there are pockets or rocks along the bottom that they can sit in or behind waiting for something to come past before they smash it. But remember if there is no food for them to feed on they will be rarely there

Have a look at the shimano t curves mate, www.shimanofish.com.au, they make a few in different sizes that would suit what your after, and I think 7ft would be plenty to get a decent cast

I think you may find fellas that some flights have a maximum length you can take on the plane. And im pretty sure 6'6" is the length for jetstar
