West Lakes bait collection

Hi guys,have noticed some guys using bait pumps in West Lakes,any idea what sort of worms they are getting and are they useful?Monkey

Not really sure what they're pumping as I've not seen it.........but I'd say it would be the fish's "natural food source",and therefore prove "useful" I remember pumping / digging tube worms from Pelican Point at low tide,35 years ago..........gun baits there in that area for everything that swam through there as it was "local".........used to "struggle" with prawns or shop bought tubies though What's the old saying........."match the hatch"

Where abouts in west lakes and the port river have you found these clickers, as i have always used live worms of some sought and would like to try these little critters.

Used to get get plenty of worms at Pelican Point,not sure of access now though..........clickers at Snowdens Beach on the low tide.........a few at PP,but not many.

Thanks. You mentioned west lakes, can you still get them there? If so, were they at the southern or bower road end?

I've seen people pumping at bower road end before. For clickers or worms?
