twinpower 151
Recently ive been thinking on getting a saltiga SATG6500H ive noticed that its a 5.7:1 ratio. ive also been looking at a few others that are a higher ratio. just wondering does the ratio have a big impact on the reel as in is a higher ratio only for jigging and stuff like that. ill be mainly using the reel for bottom bashing maybe kings and tuna! what are ur suggestions? cheers tp
Shark_Fisho 1
I've found that most people use higher ratio reels for high speed spinning and poppering. Lower ratio reels for jigging and bottom work... Id go a lower ratio reel... S-Extreme, Expedition etc

Guest
the new model saltigas havent been out long enough to reliably say they will have the durabilty and reliabilty of their predecessors. For the cash youre talking id be getting a saltiga 6500 expedition. Its about about $200 cheaper than the new model and very likely probably a lot stronger.
