ausea 4 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Share Posted September 9, 2012 Looking at some of the long spool surf reels some have a taper to the front and some have a taper to the rear.What the difference in giving maximum cast distance.The other question is one brand will have slow oscillation while another brand will not,though both are long spools.Anybody used them to advise the difference casting ability. Just curiously' date=' what makes you not like saligas?[/quote']After owning the 4500z i ended up selling it and going back to my diawa 4000C,A 38 year old reel which was just as good a reel or better.Still using it today for shark mullies and stings.Just don't seem to be able to break it or wear it out. mosler 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
