Tacklebags 404
Caught some of these (refer link) the other night while fishing off Beachport jetty on squid baits.http://www.dpiw.tas.gov.au/inter.nsf/WebPages/RPIO-4Y9AKYI threw them back as I remembered they had poisonous fins but just read in the link they can be eaten?Anyone eaten them?Probably a good option to eat them as I found safe release difficult due to the hard plate bone around their big mouths.TB
CallopHunter 1
one of the best eating fish going around! Tacklebags
Piranha 76
They are in decent numbers off that jetty at times during cold currents, can be a pain while chasing squid on plastics, hear the locals lovem but i wouldn't have a clue how to prep them, i normally just send them back before getting jabbed They release well if you shut their mouthes, their jaws can lock upen while pulling a hook out and tend to float if released.
