Have been feeling a little bit creative lately and thought i might make up a few of my own rods.. Just for something different on my latest surf rod i'm building i thought i would do a wrap under the first eye as the underbind.. Came up ok... but hey its my 3rd rod ;D size=387http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/fQawpVd2__spider1.JPG[/img] size=331http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/DGAcBpYT__spider2.JPG[/img] size=423http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/fTtuZptQ__spider.JPG[/img]

Butters for a beginner work work looks very professional. Top job! Of all the rods I built when I was younger, I NEVER attempted anything so intricate. I'm envious!Nicely done indeed. I'm sure you already know the feeling of catching good fish on sticks you made yourself, but I think this one will be even better.Care to give us some details on the blank, what ya building it up for and what fittings etc.

cheers for the kind words Ck.. The blank is a old surf rod stripped down and i'm rebuilding, so i'm not sure of the brand.. but 12ft.. 4-6kg.. all fuji components.. matching with a new Daiwa Heartland 4000.. cant wait to blood it for the first time on a nice salmon..

haha- yobbo my eyes still hurt from this little one.. brooksey.. I can do a little fish with the cross wrap, but the other fish styles threads are different and a heap harder.. but show better details and shape. I might give one a go one day..
