Guest xtrafishyfish
I pulled him out the deep mully hole in the "Onk". I reckon I might have a crack there after dark tonight with some livies {SMILIES_PATH}/cheesy.gif
mullies_chaser 0
I've always wanted to pull a mully out the onk, but I have no idea where to go, I've read a couple of articles on the mullies in there and they seem pretty common to catch in there. Was wondering where to go in there? (not asking for secret spots just a general point in the right direction). Muchly appreciated.
mullies_chaser 0
wow thanks for that rodamn, I love getting river rats on the bream gear, looks like I'll have to drag the parents up there or somthing next week as it is the last week of school holidays!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I really badly want a schoolie out the onk, on lure. Has anyone tried lures in the onk at all? I know they get them on HB's (Hard Bodies) especially the Team Daiwa Double Clutch, and the squidgee slick rigs. Ive been up near the mouth where it goes out to sea, at the first bridge, got a couple of hits there but it is so shallow there. Hard to find good whoole, but I must try the footy oval at Old Noarlunga in the middle of the day. Were they taking bait/lure at all or were they too sketchy for anything? Plus is it better on bait or lure? Sorry im asking so many questions but I want to start pulling fish out of the Onk. If you need a hand with westlakes I'll help ya out lol. {SMILIES_PATH}/cool.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/cool.gif Much appreciated.

Guest xtrafishyfish
" You get alot of very large jumping mullet "Yep! it was only this week I was talking to some mates about showing them how to catch the jumping mullet. We used to get them using a 12 foot rangoon cane and a light quill float using semolina and roo mince. The trick is to know when to strike as they only suck the bait down a few millimetres
