Ranger 48
Welcome fellah! Most just use a pvc pipe with a fixed plug at one end , and a screw cap at the other (less than $20 to make), but they are normally fixed to a roof rack with a coupla simple brackets.
solid317 2
i was thinking along those lines! The problem i can see is that there is a high possibility of rod damage as the rods are able to "bounce around" during travel.
Ranger 48
Use a screw cap at both ends then, and a bit of foam for packing will stop them moving around.

fishnfreak 0
you can wrap them in a blanket or foam and then slip it into the tube. You will also fit more in if you wrap them butt to tip
