Ubolt 0
where is it good to fish when the wind is blowing strongly from the south west? Im down southern metro and looking for a sheltered spot to fish when the wind is screaming in? I know Pt noarlunga jetty is good for salmon during a blow but i want to try and keep out the wind!! plankton 725
You could try up in the Onk, or down at Maslins, or walk out on the north breakwater at O'Sullies and cast with the wind at your back. Personally, I like it when the wind is blowing right in my face, especially when it's winter and the salmon are around. A strong onshore blow brings the little baitfish in close and that brings the predators in with them. I usually just cast a 55 gram metal lure sidearm style nice and low to keep the bow out of the line and get some distance.
reelin 2
I usually find a bend in the onk that's out of the wind!
