Guest fishum
Instead of using dead fish for crabbing use a can of fish type cat food, puncture 2 holes close together to tie a wire or string.the can will be shiny and act as a attractant also giving that fishy smell and watch them come in..it works and no lost bait
Guest dabilda
I used to do the same thing for a burley pot years ago. Punch half a dozen holes around a tin of Kit-e-cat, put a wire handle in it (like a paint tin) and drop that down on the end of a rope.Worked a treat.Never even considered putting one in a crab net, definately worth a try.
