1 quick question ^^

Recommended Posts

our fly sessions in the past on the torrens consisted of a good old berley up with some bread & then casting in a bread fly amongst the white stuff only problem with that was hooking up on the odd duck that would get in the way. we did try a few patterns of trout flys the red & black matuka worked back slowly took a few carp also a white minnow pattern i devised worked well. my black & red carp special had a good following for a few years but havent tyed any for a while now, must get back to the fly tying bench soon!!

i just walk the banks of the torrens anywhwere from athelstone to walkervile with polaroids on and spot a carp near the surface and drop an un weighted wooly bugger variant 10cm in front of their nose and they take it 90% of the time unless you spook them. there are allot of carp in the torrens, faiding them on/ near the surface can be hard. but summer is good for that.
