  1. My best is 56cm caught of KI a long time ago.the best I have heard about was about 92cm, I did see a picture of this at the time.It was caught off arno bay.

The said desal plant will need to be of a decent size as its to provide all the water for a golf course! which the last time I checked use a mountain if the stuff to stay green. {SMILIES_PATH}/shocked.gif plus they want to use the water for the associated development and housing in the area as well I think!

After paying $15kg for local cockles the other day I started contemplating this cockle delemma I thought I would organise a quick trip to collect some myself, so a hastely organised trip was put together with a few mates and some kids, yes they got a day off school.We went Thursday arvo 8/5/08 straight to the beach to see how easy or hard this might be. I had read and been told that the cockles where going into winter mode early so they where in deeper ect ect. Last Tuesday I went to one of my local shops and they wanted $12.95kg I didnt buy them ( at that point I wasnt sure about them) and went to another shop, where i found our local frozen numbers at $15.00kg so I got 2 kg (some to freeze before they get to $20kg) and then went fishing in the rain. {SMILIES_PATH}/shocked.gif

While I also have never thought of trying to take pics of what happens at the buisness end of my outfits, I have often spoken to divers who have been around jettys ect, and have often been told its amazing to see these fish suck the bait straight off the hook without us even noticing.This of course makes heaps of sense as how many time's have you found your bait gone but did'nt notice a bite?
