Kingies are there all year round brankim but a rule of thumb I was taught by an old pro is the big boys fire when the almond trees begin to blossom!

I would head down to the shacks and hit the shallows for flat head and yellowfin whiting go at low tide and rake for some crabs. You will get sweet fa at the wharf or train bridge unless a school of kingies is up there . The shacks are the only place I'd try LB .. I grew up there and still head to see the folks as they live at the shack and always get a feed of yellowfin
