the pics are of a goliath tigerfish, they are found up in the the congo areas of africa. The tiger fish that are found in southern africa are a subspecies that are much smaller with a world record of 15-20kg. The goliath tiger apparently gets to over 100kgs. they are awesome fighters with amazing speed.i must admit that i have never heard the term sharp carp. Must be an afrikaans term. We just called them tigers.
