Ok here is my Recipe for a meal i prepared the other night with some fresh Mulloway we had caught:IngredientsFirst off you need a freshly caught Mulloway about a meter long will do Flour, Egg and Milk for Egg Wash, Garlic bread Crumbs, Greted Parmesan Cheese,Chopped Garlic Chives, Salt & Pepper, preferably Rock Salt and Ground Black Pepper, Truss Tomatoes,Broccoli,Fresh Rosemart, Olive Oil and lastly a packet of Gravox Lemon Pepper Saucefirst i filleted, then skinned the fillet, then i made sure there was no bones then it's floured, put in the egg wash, then into a bowl of Garlic Bread Crumbs, Grated fresh Parmesan Cheese, salt, pepper and chopped Garlic Chives, coat each piece well, patting the mix onto the fillet as you want the cheese to sticknext heat a good pan with a little Olive Oil, place fillets in one at a time and coat both sides with the oil before you put the next fillet in and do the same, now cook until golden brown, adjust heat to make sure you cook right through, BUT! don't over cook it next you need some Truss Tomatoes, coat them with Olive Oil, place in a roasting dish with Ground Pepper and Rock Salt and a few sprigs of Rosemary, Roast until skin is just starting to shrivelnext cut some chunks of Broccoli and place then in some water to steam them in the microwave or steamer if you own onelast but not least i bought a packet of Gravox Lemon Pepper Sause, just pop in microwave for 50 seconds and pour over your fish, a few more chopped Garlic Chives sprinkled on top and walla Chucks Crumbed Mully with Roasted Truss Tomatoes, Steamed Broccoli and a Lemon Pepper SauceEnjoy, Cheers chuckPS i'll stick this recipe up in the right section too so it doesn't get lost in the pages

Any High Carbon rod will do that, they are not made to do what you did with the weed, ask any Comp Bream fisher and he will tell you how easy high end rods break  cheers chuck

myself i use a 6/0 - 7/0 jig as light as i can get it, even cut some lead off with pliers if i can't get it light enough, then i load it up with a 7" Gulp Jerk Bait, doesn't matter what colori use a 1500 Luvias loaded with 8lb crystal Fireline and a leader of 14lb Berkley Vanish on a Black Diamond 5-8kg rodnever yet let me or Snapps, (who uses a very similar rig) down in our spots cheers chuck

so with the boat we should be able to get a good feed of mixed species thanks for the helpcheers chuckLast time i had a trip there i managed about 27ish squid off the jetty. They are definitely about.Off the jetty at venus i've caught: flathead, kg whiting, salmon, squid, tommies, gar, trevally and snook. Great spot to fish landbased! You'll always come home at the end of the day with a feed

thinking about a few days holidaying there myself and wondered what you can catch off the jetty, reading up on the net there is no mention of Squid, do you catch then there?i went there back in the 90's on a club trip but can't remember what we caught on the jetty, i do remember one of the members just wading out from the beach in front of the caravan park and landing a dozen Whiting had everyone giving it a go the next evening but the school didn't show againcheers chuck

Back in "89" when i moved to Darwin, my first attempt at filleting a nice Barra, with my South Aus filleting knife, showed me that it was absolutely useless so a quick trip into town and i bought a Victorinox Boning Knife for $19, i think you will pay around the $30 mark these days, i bought the 15cm Narrow Boning Knifei have had this knife for 21 years now and it is still as sharp and keeps it's edge as it did when i bought it, it has filleted plenty of fish of all sizes and i find i use no other knife these days for this chore, it also is used for cutting up the bait, it's the same knife you will see in many Butchers scabbardsi also have an Accusharp Knife sharpener and an Eze-Lap Diamond steel to keep it keen
