thats not a shovel nose shark mate iv swam wiv em on the great barrier reaf and they are two very different things... that is a ray tho probably a skate of sum sort.. i wil look it up iv got it in my fish id book i know they only get bout 80cm max from nose to tail tho, there closest cousin around here is melbourne skates (like the one in my banner) they both have a hard bone type noses and similar tails stil close enough to a fidler for me tho ;D

bridal rig a mullet and cast it outbout 10m and as it swims along the lake just follow it so u take up lots of dif spots or just use lures :icon_lol:

yea no worries, i use a 4/0 with a pen powerstik 15kg rollertip rod... my reel is geting new washes etc so i might hav to wait til i get it back should be soon hopefully tho ???

i agree wiv jewie here. if you dont get out ther your neva oin to hav fun and besides the dangerous stuf is usualy the funest! even if it is catching sharks in the yak!

hay lloyd 70mm fish is MASIVE for our local flaties! they only average 30cm i rekon youd be better of usin a flick bait or powerbait if you want to catch plenty but if ya want another big one keep to the 70mm fish to stop lil ones hiting it as much :icon_e_biggrin: keep it up il kum next time too man

shimano woops daiwa in the big tackle i rekon like tiagras or trinidads but diawa has sum nice bream reels. rods i rekon diawa put more effort into making them look good with all the guides and grips but i rekon shimanos bend better! just my opinion
