  3. Im heading out beach fishing tomorrow afternoon. Going down the end of Downing st Brighton out on the sand bar. Hoping to get some Whiting on the incoming on light gear. High is at about 5pm so get there around 2.30-3.00.Anyone keen.?
  4. Hey guys,I reckon I may be able to clear a few things up. My neighbour is a fishek this question because I was interested to find out if they had a legitimate reason for feeding them to the pelican. He said that once the fish have been removed, fisheries can only return them I they have seen them removing the illegal fish. This is because the people keeping the undersize fish could have poisoned them or he said some have even bought their own non-native fish out the the jetty and by releasing the undersize fish its runnin the risk of releasing foreign fish into our waterways. Sounds a bit corny
  5. I'm heading down Thursday early morning to try my luck at some gar or whiting. I've heard there is a few near somerton lifesaving club and Brighton jetty. Anyone heard any different? A little worried cos of this cooler weather but still worth a flick?Anyone is welcome to join.
  6. any chance you could copy a google map of the location and highlight the areas i should try?
  7. Ok guys,i went at about 11pm-12.30, no luck.I went where the grass started just on the right hand side of the bridge if your facing the zoo, dropped a few handfulls of corn up against the bank about 15mins before casting, i then dropped my line tight to the bank about 2m off. I left it there for a good 20min without reeling in and didnt get a single nudge or bite.I ended up feeding my corn to some little ducklings who ate right out of my hand, was really cool but id much rather reel in a 10lb carp :(can someone tell me if im in the right area or what im doing wrong?cheers.
  8. so just cast on the surface of the water?will they take that?and cast into reedy areas?is burley necessary?
  9. ok im going to head down to the bridge opposite the zoo tomorrow.im going to use corn kernals, but i just have a hook about a foot below a running sinker, is that any use?
