  1. Thanks for all the help guys. Hopefully we can arrange something so the show turns out half good.
  2. Yeah but I guess if someone gets so caught up in buying egi stuff, they may fall for buying things they don't really need. (Egi spikes).
  3. SORRY 'with this' not 'you this'
  4. http://www.anglerscenter.com/_media/lures/vertical-casting-jigs/halco-twisty-lure-4252-210x210.jpgThe link above is a picture of a silver Halco Twisty lure. I use this in either the 30 or 40g sizes when flicking down at Southport Beach. I have had quite a lot of success on these and would highly recommend them to you. Cheers, breambo.
  5. Yeah I have seen that being used by Lee Rayner on a sportsfishing DVD!! He went out to some Western Port jetty with these Japanese Egi guys and they only caught 1 !!!lol When he did catch it though he pulled out the egi spike and killed it immediatley. He said it makes the squid taste nicer if they are killed that way straight after being caught. Personally I just give it one karate chop. Same effect without the pricetag of an expensive gizmo like that.
  6. Nice camera work on puffer. The colours in its eye look awesome. :woohoo: Shame their such bastards when you catch 'em. :c
  7. Yeah thanks guys. Was looking at using an external mic. Just wondering whether a basic video camera would be good enough to use for the actual filming or whether a specialised type of camera is a necessity???
  8. Hi guys as some of you may know, Twitch Twitch and I are making a little fishing show. :woohoo: Just wondering whether anyone knows of a type of camera/microphone that will be able to block out the noise made by the wind whilst picking up our voices? Help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers breambo
  9. Just went down to the Pat with some SPs. Got nothing. :c :c :c Don't know what s was. There was a lot of weed floating around so there may have been a big blow that had unsettled things?
  10. I was recently at a BCF in Victoria on the long weekend and was playing around with the Shimano Sephia. One thing I noticed about it was how light it was. It just felt like a bream stick. I was wondering how it would feel fighting a squid on something so light. But it did have a nice stiff tip for working squid jags with finesse which is obviously pretty important. All in all I do agree that 5-8kg is a bit heavy but something like a 2-4kg might be just a little bit too light. That's why I'm going to get a 3-6kg Berkley Egi Master.
  11. Yeah Southie I have used the bloodworm hooks as well and have found that by using baitholder hooks they work the same as bloodworm but because they have small spikes in them, they are able to hold a worm or cockle on easier.
  12. Hi guys,Just wondering if anyone has had success catching whiting on these:Mustad Big MouthsThey are supposed to be great for fitting cockles on properly and securing better hookups. Help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers breambo.
  13. Wow!!! So there haven't been many cases of bad shipping incidents or anything???
  14. Seems awefully cheap...Do you know whether the prices are in $US or $AUS? If they are in $AUS with free shipping and all, there are some awesome deals there! Cheers. :cheer:
  15. When I had an aquarium I got all my gear from the Seaview Aquarium Centre, Anzac Hwy. The staff are friendly enough and definitely know their stuff. (I have no connections with the business).
  16. Mate when you click on the attachment it doesn't work.
  17. I agree with you mate. Willyweather is awesome. It includes moon phases, rain forecast and wind direction and strength as well.
  18. I agree with Ben M. In my eyes, the Squidgy Wriggler is one of the most versatile lures on the market.
  19. Where are you planning to fish?
  20. Went fishing today actually using the backpack. With the weather the way it was I was lucky my bag was waterproof.
  21. I just use a small NIKE Air backpack for my land-based bream spinning. It has plenty of space and is lightweight so I can flick lures all day. I haven't felt the need to get too specialised.
  22. Cheers Bluegoose. Might become a member myself.
  23. squidgies claim that they are researching ways to make their product bio degradable. But at the moment they are not.
