  1. As Conta Kinta said "That is u need lots". I use a plastic container with water softener salt liberally thrown over the bait where it will turn into a slurry. I use this method when I go away for a week or more and when I know I'm not going to have any refrigeration or ice. I've left them in the brime for over a week without any loss of quality. The salt preserves it as well. Cockles turn into little leather patches but they still work.CheersJim
  2. I caught this Northern Blue up in Nhulunbuy where I was working. It was taken in about 2-3 meters of water and about 200mtrs from shore. I was ready to settle in and get a few more but the skipper had better ideas. Spent the rest of the day stop/starting looking for other species. ::)CheersJim http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/FFmrzffk__NorthernBlueFin.jpg[/img]

  4. Gday Guys. I used to get anchovies under the lights at the end of the road bridges. When the lake was first open the entrance on the change of the tide was always shoulder to shoulder with everyone after the bream that gathered for a feed. We used to row a very small dingy to the rope barrier and fish back to the shore. Everyone used to get enough to eat. During the day you'd often see magpie perch as well. My biggest bream came from the causeway end when it was still a swamp.CheersKosams
