Hello..I also have a CI4 4000 matched to a 7' 8-17lb GL2 and love the pair. I use it mostly for bucktailing fluke but also have a few bass to 14lbs on it from the surf, no 25's yet. I have it filled with 15lb duracast. I take apart all of my reels a couple times through out the season and have not had problems with bearings yet.
