  1. Just joined forum and came across this post.I have a holiday house in Portland Victoria and have been into the tuna for a few seasons now.First bit of advice is get a couple Xraps. I always use two, most commonly 30's. With 2-3 skirts out the back.Now read the above line again. The second important thing with Xraps is colour. What are the tuna feeding on??Don't get sucked in by marketing.You can replace trebles with single hooks.   2. Hi Nickhk.Firstly I agree with the advice already given. If you are inexperienced in snorkelling diving around Robe, Portland and other similar ocean areas will be very dangerous. It's not worth you risking your life!! You may be able to start by snorkelling in good conditions around Adelaide (if you are based there). I've quite enjoyed diving for blueswimmer crabs in shallow water in the protected Gulf waters. You can get familiar with water and get a good feed and do so in water that you can still stand up in.
