  1. Thats rite, dont try to make them to thick when rolling or you will end up with what I like to call a spodge log.. you could try all sorts of suff in the roll and it will be good. Just remember the more beer you drink the better they will taste.
  2. personally I like my home brew, but any COLD beer is ok...lol
  3. Not a problem mate, glad you enjoyed them. They were allways a big hit on Tuesday night in the pub. We used to add all sorts of extras to them, a bit of parsly and chili in the mix works well to. Its one of those recipes that you can add to very easily and allways get a good result.
  4. Yer just buy a loaf of very fresh sliced bread, you know how fresh bread can sqeezed very flat thats what you are after.
  5. Don't let one bad experience stuff up your fishing fun, These buggers are around in every part of life. It was just your turn tonight. You did the rite thing by walking away, they aren't worth the trouble. PPL like that are weak and only pick on those they think wont have ago back, they are the dregs of society. Keep fishing your favourite spots and remember they are the ones with the problem not you.
  6. I used to cook it in a pub in Gawler as bar food. Remember you can add salt and peper or to chili to the mix before cooking.

  8. This seems to be one forum thread that we all agree on, Its good to see that so many people on this site know and understand we have to look after our aquatic environment.Good on ya's
  9. I agree niftrev, I will be going down to get my own this year as I can no longer afford to buy them at the current prices. If more rec fishers do the same thing it wont take long for stocks to go down. Greed by the big end town hurts us all again, its happened time and time again and will never change. When there is a buck to be made greed will rear its ugly head. It wont take long and we will be forced to take 300 or less so the big end of town will be able to take their quota's. This will make it not equatable for those that live long distance from Goowla to make the trip. While we can still
  10. Maybe only the Japs need instructions. The rest of us should be smart enough to work it out for ourselves.
  11. If it isn't harming anyone and if you don't want to eat it put it back I say. As Steve Irwin would have said "CRIKEY MATE LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT", and if we don't keep putting them back one day we wont keep catching them.
  12. It would be nice to have an English manual but I have never needed to read one yet, its reel easy put it on your rod and turn handle. I don't know why this would be such a big problem. If Ya need a manual to learn how to use a fishing real you got more problems than not having a manual.
  13. I was out at the lighthouse from Pt Hughes one day gar fishing and ran out of gents so I had a some chewing gum I had been chewing on all day, so I rubbed it around in some tuna oil and Anna seed oil and tried that. It worked better than the gents and stayed on the hook longer. To be fair the gar where that thick they would have taken anything you put in the water. They were that close to the boat I even tried to catch them with the landing net and got around 10 in the net each scoop.
  14. I guess I should have said two pairs of white pionters
  15. I was at the St Kilda boat ramp late one night and saw two white Pointers at the ramp, then while washing my boat they came up and asked to be hosed down, these two young girls (18 or 19 yr olds) were very friendly so I decided to help them wash and hosed them down, Mainly putting the steam of water on their faces so they couldn't see me having a good look...lol, it was the most exciting thing of the night, we didn't get many fish but it allmost made the night Worth it.
