Fair enough. After re reading my post I didn't word it very well.But there are plenty of us on here who have seen posts like this go very sour on many other fishing sites through out Australia.It is generally the sort of topic that gets some people to jump on tall horses they would not normally ride.We only catch what we are prepared to eat and although we love our fishing if the freezer has enough fish we tend to target harder to catch species or try and find new areas on the sounder.Problem is I'm a crap fisherman so having too many fish is rarely an issue.. :icon_lol:So catch and release i

I caught one almost identical off of horseshoe reef about 5 years ago.Had one look at it in the net, cut the line and threw it back.They are not a pretty fish and look quite intimidating in the flesh.My wife and I spent a bit of time looking it up in our books and online but we had no success at all. As has been suggested we came up with some close comparisons but thats all they were close.

I'll be heading out Saturday afternoon after the kids soccer. Don't get much spare fishing time so we don't have the luxury of "fishing the best tide" all of the time, usually we get out when ever we get time, which results in a lot of useless fuel burning on occasion {SMILIES_PATH}/rolleyes.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/tongue.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/rolleyes.gifNot sure if it will be Wirrina BR or Sullies BR yet.Taking my brother out on our boat for the first time.
