Fishing at port vincent

Hi all,planning a trip to beach near port vincent as I havn't been there I was wondering what might the best things to target in the area other than the ever faithful squid. Any adice wold be great.

bream, tommies gar snook crabs mulloway all sorts man i might b down there over my 4 day break so i might cya down there alot of fish are caught from the marina spesh the mullies and bream.... Brayden

Yellow fin whiting off the beaches as well as the usual bread and butter species,the marina is great for tommies,bream and schoolies.Fresh natural baits are best. cheers brenton

2 great minds think alike at the same time ... u can also get the clickers for the whiting and bream to at low tide

great time to rake some bluies out the front of the caravan park too if its calm. You can nail school mulloway off the short bluff like jetty too.

rays, mackeral, tommies gar squid snook umm whting yeh thats all i can think of.. if ya got a boat i heard theres some decent snappers around wardang island

Thanks for tips ladss,Did weel on first day with some tommies, squid and gar speared a few crabs in the shallows. Bit windy for the rest of the trip but stilled loved camping on the beach. My 4 year old was playing my mates rod which he said he could pull it in as we were not catching anything poor little bugger struggled for around 45 mins trying to wind it in as we laughed and drank beer, saying he really is making a big job of this only to find he had just pulled in a 75 cm shovel nosed shark, pretty goood effort we thought for a 4 year old
