Glowing hooks jigs etc any good?

Howdy, just wondering if glow in the dark stuff helps to attract fish? If anyone has tried glowing hooks, jig heads, soft and hard baits let me know. Also what species are attracted to glowing things, are there any known "best colours" for certain species.Cheers

I have used glow in the dark SP for snook, but have not noticed any increase in catch rate over normal ones. Some of the gar anglers off the metro jetties live to use a small glow bead at night.I like to use a glow squid jig at night and fing this will outfish other darker colors at night.

I know small lumo squid jags work fantastic for squid at night around jetty lights.

I had a small green lumo on a black magic snappa snatcher, at night salmon and a ray smashed it at salt creek, no bait!!!

Lumo beads are a must sitting just above any hook I tie on, tested too, night snapper sesh was catching one after the other getting bites before i even get to the bottom, no one else getting hardly a touch, then lost my rig, tied up a gain and no fish.... hmmm difference? lumo bead, re tied with the bead and was back into it again.Have tested this a number of times since for the same result, so now i puy them on every rig I tie and as far as I can tell it never puts the fish off, and yes sometimes you even get bites with no bait.

Thanks for all of your thoughts. Well looks like glowing is the glo. I'm going to make up some glow in the dark jig heads, should be interesting to try out and compare with and without glow, what colors work etc.Cheers
