breambo25 1
Hi guys,I'm currently in the market for a new :woohoo: (relatively cheap $100-$150), light whiting combo. I only fish off the land for my whiting because I don't have a boat. Just wondering whether anyone has any suggestions about combos they've had a good experience with??? ekul 0
I found the shamino siennas to be a good cheap real. Then go with a light rod in 1-4 or 2-4 in a 7ft or 6'6, with 2-4lb braid. I fish light though. breambo25
Kelvin 2,200
YFW or KGW? And bait or lure? For YFW, any bream spinning rod and reel will do fine. I prefer a longer softer rod for bait work. For KGW landbased, often you need a bigger cast to get out to the fish. I am using a pair of 10 foot seajigger (315) for my landbased and jetty work. The same rod can be used for gar, tommies, squid, whiting, and snook.
