thefunkychicken 0
Gday.Up to this point, I've been a spin reel fisherperson - except for a couple of heavy overheads and Alveys - and I decided it was long overdue for me to learn how to cast lighter baits and lures with a baitcaster. To get the ball rolling, I bought a lower end Shimano baitcaster, put some 15lb braid on it and went about learning to cast it in the yard with a spin stick flipped over (not a purist approach I know, but it did the job of getting the casting thing right.)Now, not having a baitcaster rods, I thought: "I'd better rectify this and go build one!"It's taken me a while to get it completed out due to work and a thousand other things taxing my time but here it is:MHX 2 piece 7'0" 8-15lb baitcaster.Cheers.
