Rybak 622
When I was fishing on beaches & from rocks many moons ago this is what I devised. A storm water PVC pipe approx 1m long. Attached at the bottom was a steel rod approx 800 long with a T-Piece welded to the steel rod at the base of the PVC pipe(or top of the rod if that makes more sense) . This allowed to push the holder into the sand with yours hands using the T-Piece to a certain depth & then you could use your feet to push the holder further down up to the bottom of the PVC tube. This left a metre of PVC tube protruding above the sand into which the rod went into. (Never fell over etc). With rock fishing although the whole set up was some 1.8m long was a bit cumbersome but always seemed to find a crevice or the like to force the rod into & secure it. Alternatively use PVC pipe only, say 1500 long to push into the sand or crevices in rocks with the support of smaller rocks around the base etc to make it secure.Simple & cheap.
