statesquider 0
what species do you intend on targetting with it?I prefer 8lb sunline as it is really smooth and casts brilliantly when i throw lures. It is light enough to throw quite small lures but has withstood snapper up to 9kg so far. I can't remember but I think i fit just under 300m of the 8lb on there so there is a bit up your sleeve if a big fish comes along :)Is there much of a size difference between the 2500 shimano and daiwa capacity wise? Just Me 0
Thanks SS! Just whiting for this set up. I find the 2500 diawa has nearly the same spool capacity as a 4000 shimano and my 1500 daiwa has almost the equivalent to the 2500 shimano.edit-i got a 3000 xfire if that'll help? statesquider 0
ah yes! my mate has a 3000 certate and i think it holds 20 or 30m more 20lb braid than my 4000.You may want to go a bit bigger then. If it is just for whiting i'd go maybe 15lb on a reel that size or you will need a LOT of braid :)You'd easily get 300m of 15lb on it! Just Me
Just Me 0
I've got a spool of 15lb 150yd power pro, so might use it as top shot.
