Kelvin 2,209
Onk and Southport for mullet and ST
breambo25 1
Onk and Southport for mullet and STYeah have a crack for some Salmon I reckon. What gear do you intend on using?I would avoid the southern metro beaches (eg. Glenelg, Brighton etc). They are probably finished until winter ends.

Zacmckee 0
Thanks for the reply we have a couple surf rods and then just some smaller rods aswell so we can do most things. We are around seaford but will travel to like selicks or further if there is something biting. What bait or lure for st and mullet? Thanks

ThanksHaven't caught any mullet before, so I can't speak to that, but if you've got a setup of 7' to 9' running around 10lb line that will throw up to 20 or 30 grams then have a go at the salmon with that. Just use the least expensive metal slugs you can find, raiders from Big W are a good value. Heaps of fun and you can walk the beach and cover lots of ground till you find a school. Otherwise, it's hard to go past the humble pillie.
Midcoast angler 0
There are plenty of mullet about atm, try anywhere from southport right around to cape jervis.. As for bait you could try a mullet mix made from mince, aniseed, curry powder etc. or the humble goolwa cockle will also give you good results, and dont get tricked into trying to cast too far either the mullet will sit in close.. good luck mc
