Dan C 1
Hi all,With the KGs shutting down for the blood worms I was wondering about gar in winter. I've heard they can be around and was wondering, do you fish them the same as in summer? Same areas? Same depth? I launch from North Haven. Any advice would be great.ThanksDan C

Ugly4Life 41
I get reports all winter about Gar getting caught in the Port River. Might be worth a shot.

piratepom 3,197
I got a few in the Largs Bay area last week, fished exactly the same as I do in the warmer months, but used small Squid baits instead of Gents, and they are just as frustrating as ever. piratepom 3,197
Cheers Pirate Pom. Why the different bait? Deliberate or did you leave the gents in the fridge at home? Left the Gents out of the fridge after the last trip and they weren't looking to flash  :vomit: And had some Squid bits from the last trip out. I also tried a tip from 'Fishie' using SP flick bait tails  + scent, looked good but no luck, so I went back to the Squid Dan C
