Guest Butters
Welcome to the site Sizey!!!Try looking into the Flueger range.. I use a Lithium 5000 off the beach and have landed Bronzies and a few good eaglies aswell.. tough drags in em.. will set you back around the 100 mark.. maybe a few bucks extra.. MPV 0
Penn slammer 560/760 for a bit more cash ($170ish).
brenton 637
I use a butterworth zenith 8500,its a cheap real at about 50 bucks but the drag is good and hasn,t let me down.Pretty hard to keep the sand out of your reels on the beach so the cheaper the better i reckon. cheers brenton

finatic 1
Sizey, gotta love that jingle don't ya. You wouldn't believe how much work went into making that & the ads for TV.Anyhow, about mid 100's will get you a metal body reel, much better suited to the beach. Save for a few more weeks & buy quality once, not junk twice.Finatic
Guest undertaker
Good call finatic ......and you'd know ;DLike the old Spinfisher 9500 ss and the Daiwa GS9 myself : Old School all the way
Guest 10percentcatch90
Have a look at the TICA GG100 Reel ,lots of line capacity and not badly priced.A good gear ratio of 3.3 to 1 for fighting those big fish.I am loving using mine .Check em out !
