Puffer Fish 0
Going by the local paper the end of the jetty will stay closed. Not good news for holiday makers and locals. You can still fish upto the gates.
brent_brent_brent 1
It was always going to happen! Its a working jetty and they simply cant take the gamble of letting irresponsible fisherman trash and potentially burn the place down. Sad but expected! pikk0n

Kelvin 2,200
Was there monday and yep, closed. Plenty of tommies, and chow and trumpeter around. A few crabs and squid.
Massfish 0
a few years ago some half wits used their incredible inteligence to vandalise and upset the silent majority on the Brighton Jetty, when we challenged them they got mouthy..my mate Sean(not one to back down) flattened the biggest big mouth...tied him to a crab net rope and dangled him overboard like a tea bag while we all shouted "shark"..didn't see em again!! (still P ourselves tho)..
mrballs 12
From what i was told the latest lighting of the jetty incident is a load of crap fabricated by a jetty worker... apparently he's not a fan of fisherman on there.Real shame for Wallaroo, particularly this time of year... im not aware of what else you'd actually go there for apart from fishing, by large. Surely businesses will cop it hard.Seems so typical of 'way down south' Australia
Bitewell 74
Unfortunately MrB, your info is not correct. The local fire brigade attended 9th Dec. Burnt top planking has been removed with the bottom section yet to be assessed - Police report. In any case, the end would be closed as ships are now loading grain and with the bunkers at capacity, it seems it will be that way for quite some time. With the two caravan parks jam packed and holiday rentals booming, a helluva lot of folk think the Copper coast is a mighty fine place to visit and fish.
